My Dear Fatherland...
Pie 'n' Ears, UoL, Lincoln
2019
This performance plays on the dynamics of the divorce between Madara and her fatherland, a distressed story of constant search for her identity. Born in Latvia and following her mother’s path, she moved away, at a young age to England. Slowly losing her mother tongue, re-rooting and starting a new way of living. This work opens a dialogue about forming new identities, adjustment, belonging and not belonging.
